She makes a transition at Midem, the WOMEX, a European tour with Issssaa Bagayoko and a French tour with Lobi Traore. In Bamako, Dene met Manu Eveno, member of French group TRYO who decides to work with her to work on the European version of "Ladilikan. All tracks have been reworked in Grenoble for several weeks, with a bonus cover of "My friend the rose."
After a short break for the birth of his daughter, Dene currently writing new songs.
Musical worlds and writing
Dogon its origins, his parents and his travels have greatly influenced the writing and the music of Dene.
She particularly likes working on two complementary musical universes that allow it to associate a Dogon musical culture and inspirations modern pop / folk. His record is not limited to the use of traditional heritage Dogon then she also regularly discusses music of other ethnic groups present in Mali (Malinke, etc. ...).
Throughout his work focuses Dene 5 instruments: the calabash, the Ngoni, the n'tamani, guitar and bass.
Dena has written almost all of these texts, although some are co-written with other singers such as French artist Emmanuel Eveno TRYO french group. Particularly fond of the works of his father, Dene not hesitate to put to music the poems that are dear to him.
Through her artwork, Dene has chosen to defend three themes that are dear to him:
- The development of Malian culture with a focus on strong enhancement of Dogon culture.
- The relations between men - women and one's place in Malian society, highlighting the specific problems affecting women (excision, forced marriage, ...)
- Peace in Africa and more generally in the world.
